Dear Arindam, AICTE approval will just be required for Any Technical Courses and not the management. For Engineering courses AICTE is must.

You need to choose an institute which is approved by Distance Education Council. Yes, Sikkim-Manipal University is an approved university and MBA from it can help you in enhancing your career, specially in the private sector. Since you have 6 years of working experience you can take a lateral entry
