    There is no ranking, but based on pedagogy, syllabus, facilities, global linkages, impact of existing and alumni's and industry feedback puts the following Universities / Institutions in top bracket. Each have their own uniqueness, some are skewed towards journalism and some towards advertising, and at least one JLU, which has both including India's one of the best media production studios, practice based pedagogy and global integration.Indian Institution of Mass Communication.

    Very difficult to judge any institute or college on any basis because you haven't read from that particular place. Talking about the famous names, the list can be variable with the choice of your course. For Bachelor's you can find the names of Symbiosis, DCAC- Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, NIMC- National Institute of Mass Communication, Indraprastha University, Amity University, etc. And then there are few women orientated college such as Sophia Mumbai, Indraprastha college, Lady Shri Ram, etc. Those who are the pioneers in providing the best of practical training.     Mass communication is growing in demand and requires you to have an adequate knowledge, good communication and verbal skills, along with a knack to interact with others.
    Top 5 colleges for UG are:
    1. Indraprastha College for Women
    2. St. Xavier's college

    Post Graduation:
    1. Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi-IIMC provides a one-year PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations. Admissions are based on an entrance examination that you can take next year in May. Applications start in March every year

    Below mentioned is the list of the top 5 colleges in India for mass communication aspirants:
    1. Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC)-Delhi
    2. Xavier's Institute of Communication (XIC)
    3. Asian College of Journalism (ACJ)
    4. Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC)
    5. AJ Kidwai Mass Communication Research Centre (AJKMCRC)
    All the above-mentioned colleges are the top colleges in terms of their academic as well as placement records.
