Hi AYushman, Agriculture is a primary source of livelihood for the majority of Indians. Thus, generally it remains the last priority among students choosing a career option. Which is a very wrong assumption. Agricultural graduates have wide scope of career in public sector and private sector. In fact entrepreneurship is a great opportunity to pursue your prospective career in agricultural field. It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. Dear Ayushman, I did MBA from LPU, During my post graduation years I had few friends from agriculture department, Sometimes I used to visit fields, Labs with them they also discussed about placements, academic, placements etc. So I have Idea about this course. (Hons) Agriculture students done research on Project On Floating Island-The project involves the introduction of floating islands for water management and improving sanitation and regulation of water quality & restoration of the water table with the help of biological agents. Students hitherto organic yields of Spinach, Cauliflowers, Cabbage, Turnip, Radish, Carrots have been well accepted by local consumers at University, who have liked these for quality, taste, appearance and appeal. They have also produced organic wheat. Students have started working on the production of Baby-Corn, Parsley (Kind of Coriander), Lettuce (Green Leaves), Dill (A Fragrance), Lemon Grass and other.
