For Masters in Agriculture in North India only few Names are coming to my Mind which would be good for you as far as Placements concern or the curriculum concern. Those Institutes are as follows: CCSHAU: Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. PAU: Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana. LPU: Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab. Apart from LPU both the above universities are public funded universities and under the jurisdiction of Government. I must tell you that I personally found LPU as good as these other aforesaid choices. LPU has become first private University of India who is Accredited from ICAR: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Thus, the value of the degree from PAU or LPU is one of the same thing In fact placements of LPU is as good as both the other options. Now coming to the Curricula: I really liked the Curriculum Development research (CDR) practice of LPU which they do after every 6 months. The purpose of doing this CDR is to make their Curricula updated according to the demand of the present Agriculture based Industry. They do Practical oriented study in the fields to produce not only organic and nutrient enrich Flaura but to teach their students in a very advanced way. FEE structure / scholarship of LPU also depends on the performance of the candidate in their previous qualifying exam and the performance in LPU NEST.
