    HI Davinder, Petroleum Engineering covers Chemistry and geology to extract oil and gas from under the earth's surface. In my opinion you must go for Chemical engineering course which is a much broader category than petroleum engineering. It covers the production and use of many types of chemicals. Chemical engineers use Chemistry to develop fuel, food, drugs and new substances. Both petroleum and chemical engineering are considered some of the most valuable degrees in India & abroad.     LPU is the best university to go for, they provide quality education at reasonable cost and good placements, both national and international. You can definitely go for it. They have several national and international tieups and industrial collaborations.
