    Here is the list of top government engineering colleges of Punjab which are way too better than private colleges.
    1) Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of technology, Jalandhar:
    Intake:- 694
    Placements:
    Average paclage:- 5.25 lakhs
    Highest package:- 27 lakhs
    Recruiters:- A.K Vidyamandir, Aagaz Education, Aakash Institute, Afcons, Ais Glass, Alstom, Amazon.com, Amdocs, Anglo Eastern Ship Management Ltd., Aqinsights, Ashok Leyland (Dehradun), Atotech Pool and many more.
    2) Gurunanak Dev Engineering College:
    Intake:- 825 ( both the shifts )
    Placements:
    Average package:- 3 lakhs
    Highest package:- 7 lakhs
    Recruiters:- Pipal Research, TCS ,Wipro,
