Which area of study in Geography offers better career growth prospects?

The subject of Geography is a combination of Humanities and Science. Geography does have interesting topics. It will all depend upon how much of it do you understand, and how far are you willing to go in order to truly understand it. You can divide Geography is two parts: (1) Physical Geography: which deals with the study of physical and areal study of earth. It involves hydrology, oceanography, marine resource studies, geomorphology, climatology, geology, etc. (2) Human Geography: In this you will study the dynamics of humanistic features/approaches/ thoughts/ innovations/ ingenuity over the period of time. According to me, the one which offers better scope and growth prospects is Human Geography. Because in this area of study, you study the human behavior impacting on earth. Hence, it is very demandable course among youth and industry as well. Cartographer: Cartographers map out the surfaces of the planet. These workers use Geographic Information Systems software to assist them in analyzing data, such as longitude, latitude, elevation and distances between points. Workers also use high-tech equipment, including satellites and aerial cameras. They design digital or graphic maps based on their research. Many Bachelor's degree programs may prepare graduates for this career, and common majors include cartography, civil engineering, geomatics or geography. Surveyor: These professionals use their knowledge of mapping geographic information sciences to take measurements to determine property boundaries for residential properties, construction sites and other locations. Mapping and Surveying Technician: These technicians are responsible for taking measurements in the field. Their duties include operating surveying instruments, which record land distances and angles. Afterwards, they return to their offices to enter their data into computer systems.
