    I will divide the question in two parts
    1. Selection of branch: Choose you branch as per your interests. Aptitude, habits, personality, analytical skills and aspirations.
    2. Choose your college diligently, look if the curriculum, teaching pedagogy, technology trainings, projects, industry interface and placements are good or not. My personal experience of 16 years tell me that LPU has excelled in every parameter related to professional education in last 15 years. It attracts 30000 students and 600 companies from all over the world s a proof enough of the prowess it has made. Hope this helps

    Well, that totally depends upon your interest. In whichever are you are having more interest, that will increase the probability and your future success.
