    For undergrad level work, I'd probably go with CS over EE. One nice complement to the two is get an MS/PhD in EE as you're exposed to modelling systems, statistical inference, more data science methods in EE over CS. CS is a solid foundation for how shit works, data structures, algorithms and how to think like a CS.
    I did my PhD at Michigan where EE and CS are in same department but my adviser was in EE. EE has an incredible statistical signal processing program which is basically machine learning/statistics. So I feel that being able to model the underlying, detect things, etc coupled with writing software around it helps you separate
