Dear, it will depend on your interest as both the branches are good. If you have an interest in the software world, computer science engineering rules and when it comes to the core world, its the mechanical engineering. Both of these fields are entirely different. It depend on you dear because both branches are different although in mechanical branch, some subjects of CSE are there like programming in C and object oriented programming and CAD. So, if you are comfortable in programming, choose CSE otherwise, go for ME.

Both branches (mechanical and computer science and engineering) are good. But, the placement depends upon the qualities and the overall performance throughout your education.
