Syllabus of B.Tech CS and B.Tech IT overlap by 80 to 90% in various engineering colleges. IT degree is suitable for those who want to become application developers. In order to be systems developer CS is a preferred option. Also, B.Tech CS is preferred degree by IT companies recruiter. I will recommend you to do B.Tech CS if you want to be a cyber security expert and also have better career prospects.

Hello Vikant,
B.Tech in CS and B.Tech in IT are almost similar with minor variations. While B.Tech in IT focuses only on software, B.Tech in CS maintain a balance between software and hardware. Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware company like Intel, Logitech etc., this difference hardly matters. Most of the IT jobs are available in the software domain. So, don't judge or get confused between these two branches. Just choose one in a good college.
You should not get too fascinated with ethical hacker as they show in movies. Hackers mean "thieves". No company would hire a thief to steal other company's data as that could land them...more
