    For a career in the IPS, you need to take the Civil Services exam conducted by the UPSC for which graduation is the minimum eligibility criteria.
    IPS recruits undergo a very tough training course at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. They are trained on how to play a leadership role in the police administration of a subdivision, district, range and state headquarters.
