The UPSSSC JE exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 is common to all, whereas Paper 2 is branch-specific. To prepare for UPSSSC JE (Civil), the following books are recommended:
For paper 1:
1. Samanya Hindi of Uphaar or any other publication
2. Wren and Martin book for English grammar
3. Rainbow Pub
