    1. Arihant's Guide for Journalism and Mass Communication Entrance Exam
    2. Manorama Yearbook
    3. Kewal J Kumar's Mass Communication in India
    Also, you must read newspapers daily, especially The Hindu and The Economics Times.

    1-Ditch those guide books. The syllabus cannot be covered with them ever.
    2-Trust past year's questions paper more than your syllabus.
    3-The books I tried to read were - (a) Mass communication Theory : Foundations, Fermented, and Future, sixth edition, by Stanley J. Baran, Dennis K. Davis. (b) Introduction to Communication Studies by John Fiske (3rd Edition) (c) Mass Media Research- An Introduction; 9th Edition, by Roger D. Wimmer and Joseph R. Dominick (d) Development Communication by Uma Narula (e) International Communication by V. S. Gupta (f) Public Relations Handbook (2nd Edition) by Alison Thacker (g) Advertising Theory and Pract

    Some of the books that could be used for preparing for Symbiosis Entrance Test as per syllabus are given below:
    Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning' by Arun Sharma. Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations by R. S. Agarwal. NCERT of 9th to 12th standard. Mental Aptitude by Subhkamna Publications.
