For DU, you should have a balanced strategy for GK, English, legal aptitude and reasoning. Cracking the exam depends mostly on the following: 1. One's knowledge base with respect to current affairs 2. One's ability and aptitude to crack questions using logical reasoning and basic legal knowledge. GK-In order to build up current affairs knowledge base the first thing to do is analyse previous years entrance question papers which give me an idea of the kind of questions which law faculty usually asks. Follow the Hindu newspaper and Hindu diary of event 2015-2016 (available 'free' at its website <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="www.hindu.com" style='word-wrap:break-word;'>www.hindu.com</a>). Supplement it with happenings of past few months from a good GK magazine like Pratiyogita Darpan (English) - at least six past issues. Alternatively, you can read GK content of last six months at a GK portal like <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="www.competitionmaster.com" style='word-wrap:break-word;'>www.competitionmaster.com</a>. With this, your preparation for current affairs would be adequately done. Government publication 'India 2016' of Publications Division is a must read for LLB aspirants. English- Read newspaper, novels, Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis, 'English is Easy' of Chetan and Singh or RS Agarwal Legal aptitude/awareness- Information about courts, lawyers and judges is the most important in legal GK. You must know about legal news and development in the country. Read Universal's Guide written by Mr. Manish Arora Universal's book on Legal GK S.S guide by Anand Prakash Mishra (himself an alumnus of CLC, now the Director of JGLS) In a competitive exam like DU, one bad day of yours can mar a whole year. Hence, applying to more Universities like BHU, Panjab, Mumbai (GLC), Pune (ILS and DES), Allahabad, Lucknow, etc. will secure your seat. Make sure you practice atleast 5 mock papers before you appear for the exam. It will give you lot of confidence and will let you know as to how to approach the paper. Gud luck.
