Which book to prepare for IP university's enterance xam for journalism ?

Hi, Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) is an entrance exam conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University to take admission into Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) program offered by the university. The exam date is Sunday, May 27, 2012 The examination covers the areas of:- Cinema/Films Communication Skills (English) Culture/Literature Current Affairs National/International Politics Advertising & Public Relations Analytical & Comprehension skills Aptitude & mental make-up Brand awareness & recall Print Media Radio TV The qualified student of the written examination will have to sit for a final interview round. Hi Megha, The entrance is usually GK based so it is important to brush up your GK. It will be difficult to help you with the exact pattern but I would suggest you to go through the newspapers everyday and make a note of all the good articles or important news that you come across. You have to mug up the punch lines of various good and famous brands and also their Brand ambassadors, mug up the punch lines of various good news channels because they might ask it. Also, if possible try and read few books on GK and Current affairs, if you want you can refer to Manorama year Book which is a nice book for GK and Current affairs. Apart from all these you also have to practice a lot on writing articles because they might give you any topic to write or also a picture that you need describe so you need to write it in a creative manner and for that you need to think out of the box. Other than these you may also prepare on reading comprehension, grammar, etc. At the end i would say that the entrance is not that difficult and you can clear it easily and the interview depends on your caliber.
