Undoubtedly, NCERT books are mandatory for the preparation of such kind of exams but you should ensure that you understand every term in depth for that you always go for 1,2 other books like Pradeep's or Dinesh.

NCERTs are always the best guides. For question practices, one may go with any standard reference book, modules of different coaching classes and previous year papers.
