Which books should I prefer for the entrance exam of fashion designing and modeling and why? I am in class 12th.

Hi Nikisha,
You can easily find good books to prepare for the designing exam. But you should go for a book which have all of the previous question papers of NIFT with the answer key of the drawing section at least. Or, I will suggest to take a crash course of 10-15 days for the entrance exam.

There are no books as such that you need to study in particular. You just need to keep yourself updated about the brands, their ambassadors and the current affairs. Also, a bit of math is required. I would suggest you do sketching on a daily basis as it improves speed and speed is what actually matters in an entrance examination.
