Which books should I refer to get above 95% in CAT?

Majority of the CAT aspirants, before going for books first they start their own preparation in all the functional areas. Secondly, they should opt best coaching institute available to them nearby, normally, they can get good material provided by the coaching institutes. Further if they want, basically they can start with the external material like RS Agarwal as basic version of quantitative techniques later they can go for Sarvesh Verma of recent edition. If you have joined a coaching institute like CL/TIME/Tathagat, I feel that you need not worry about any external material. Just practice that material and you will get 95+. If you have not joined regular coaching, then you may purchase the study material of any coaching institute. I found CL material to be exhaustive (especially verbal).
For QA, Quantum CAT by Sarvesh Verma and the Arun sharma QA books are sufficient.
For LR, Logical Reasoning for the CAT by Nishit K. Sinha is the best book in my opinion. For VA, you need to refer to online resources and read a lot on random topics to increase reading speed. A regular newspaper read for...more -
First of all, get CAT preparation material of some good coaching institute.
For Quant, there are two good books- Arun Sharma & Sarvesh Varma. You can refer to any of these. I referred the latter one as suggested by one of my friends. However, I think the former is more popular with the students. Both the books are good. But don't buy both. No needs to unnecessary collect a lot of books & material. If you have limited time, solving one book is enough. Go for the second book only when you have finished the entire syllabus.
