Students not generally prepare for SRMJEEE or VITEEE they generally prepare JEE but they really made a mistake if by chance you can't score well in JEE then there must be a backup plan so that you're in safe side. So for this Student must be aware with the question pattern. SRM just check the knowledge of student that he is eligible for engineering is not just you need is a proper knowledge of basics and just remember all the formulae. As almost all the questions asked can be easily solved by simply putting the values in the formula.
NCERT books is quite enough for fir SRMJEEE and if he/she unable to understand better from NCERT then he

For rank purpose, go for NCERT books and the notes from premier coaching institutes of Kota and try to solve as much as you can from the internet. These are beyond the limits and you will score more surely. Good Luck.

NCERT is the best to have a strong base. You can go for reference books like HC Verma for Physics. Pradeep's Chemistry and O.P. Tandon for chemistry. M.L. Khanna and R.D. Sharma for mathematics. Apart from these books keep solving previous year papers and mock papers as well. When it comes to exams like SRMJEEE and VITEEE, they are not of JEE level so there is no need of joining coaching classes. All you need to do is solve more and more problems to increase your question solving ability. In physics you can also try Nootan rather than NCERT to clear your base as it is given in very simple language.
