Which branch have a better package- automobile or marine engineering?

It totally depends on your interest that in which stream you want to get admission.choose the stream in which your comfortness lies but in my opinion,automobile is a very good stream to get admission as it will provide you a great career in top Automobile company which is a dream job of any mechanical Engineer but i would like to recommend you to select the university cautiously as in this stream along with technical skills one also need to boost your practical ideas .here are some of the colleges where you can get admission by availing high scholarship: 1.Lovely Professional University 2.Symbiosis International University 3.IIT i have heard that Lovely Professional University provides the scholarship upto 1.5 lakh per annum.even the university provides exposure to various technical events like International Go-Kart Championship(IGKC),Electric Solar Vehicle Championship(ESVC) ,American Society OF Mechanical Engineers(ASME) etc.even the university students gets the opportunity to represent country in international events

Khede, don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sail through vast sea go with Marine engineering. If you have not decided what you want to do after B.Tech, sit for one or two days and decided what you want to do. If still confused, select any of the engineering mentioned in point # 1, 2 and 3 (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics). Best of luck.
