Mechanical engineering in Thapar University is better than electrical. The placements, faculty are world class. Infrastructure and labs are also well-equipped. So, go for mechanical at Thapar University.

As I have read on internet, in Thapar University mechanical engineering is better than Electrical engineering but you should choose based on your interests.

All the branches are good at Thapar Institute. You can choose either of them as per your interest, but personally, my favorite is electrical engineering at Thapar Institute. You get the most exposure and practical learning here and faculty members are very supportive. One of my friends recently pass

It is hard to compare both of these, because both branches are good. But, if I were at your place, then electrical will be best. You will find good placement record of electrical in Thapar University.

I'll prefer you to opt for the electrical engineering, as the scope of this field in India is good, and you can easily get a decent pack job easily, but this can't be possible in the mechanical branch as there are very less jobs in India.
