Which branch is better: electrical engineering or electrical and electronic engineering?

Hello Abhishek, What you ask can be typically called as a Shakespearen dilemma. Electrical engineering is one of the oldest branch of engineering and it has given way to different branches like electrical and electronics, computers, electronics and controls etc. The charm of electrical engineering has remained sustained through the history even today. The job opportunities in electrical engineering are quite good but the new branches also offer newer opportunities which are coming into the market and hence, the jobs. However, there is no clear cut answer that can be given as to which of the two branches is better since this keeps fluctuating from year to year depending on the requirement of the industry.
