Depending upon the interest you can choose either CSE or ECE. Both are the core branches of engineering. If you love programming, coding, and networking you can opt for CSE. The scope of CSE in India is very good right now and as the world is growing its scope is also increasing exponentially. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself. Now he is in his final year and told me about B.Tech programme as follows:
On the basis of placement and infrastructure, LPU is best for CSE. I am an alumnus of LPU and my...more -
Though an ECE student has the advantage to work in both core (ECE) companies as well as IT firms when it comes to salary packages CSE students are paid a bit more than ECE students because the actual work in those firms is more relevant to studies in CSE or IT. LPU ranks amongst the Top 200 universities of the world as per the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021, which assess universities against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2021 rankings, only three Indian universities have made to the list of Top 200 in the World. LPU has outshined various institutions like IITs, NITs, state and cent...more

First, let's talk about these field ECE and CSE
B.Tech in Electronics and communication engineering, ECE focuses on the design of underlying hardware systems. Many believe that numerous creative opportunities exist at the boundaries of traditional CSE and ECE. The curriculum for ECE, therefore, has many courses in common with the CSE programme initially
I am an alumnus of LPU and did B.Tech CSE, I find CSE very interesting and pursuing my career as a software engineer currently in Noida, some colleagues of mine had done ECE but were appointed as software engineers. Both CSE and ECE are considered the best branches of engineering

EC is a very wide branch that covers a lot of things while computer engineering will totally focus on computation. I think if you are interested in programming, software, web design, apps making then choose computer there is very good scope in future and if you have taken EC then fine you can do most of the things done by comp engineering both are overlapping in many topics so EC covers all electronics part like sensors, signal n system, GSM, Satellite communication, etc. Choose your interest field and think of the long term. Being an educational consultant I recommend LPU for any of these two programmes. Moreover, I know many alumni o...more

It is difficult to say about a particular branch as each and every branch has a great future scope and demand as every branch has its own importance and applications in our daily routine. It depends upon the student as per their career as well as Subject interest. In my opinion one should select the subject in which he / she wants to pursue career. ECE is a versatile discipline and enables you to work in a diverse range of jobs in various sectors. The duties of ECE graduates are a wide and diverse range of duties. Like facilitation of transmission of information across various channels like optical fiber, radio link, designing equipment such as routers, switches, fiber optics etc. , setting up networks and equipment, maintenance of electronic systems/gears etc. Thus they are often in huge demand in Electronics, Telecom,...more
