It actually depends on what area you want to work in, or which area you see yourself doing well in, 5 years down the line. Seriously speaking, there is always a field you are good at and there is always another option, which might be a good earning option. You need to decide your priorities, do you want to earn or do you want job satisfaction.
You need to take that decision. No one can help you decide that. It completely depends on your strengths/weaknesses and your aspirations. -
Being in a point where I need to choose a domain to follow for my graduate studies and after having worked in lengthy internships in both analytical and organic chemistry, I find myself puzzled as I don't know what to follow. On one hand, organic chemistry laboratory routine appears to me much more fascinating and active as well as much more powerful with respect to the amount of things one can create with his skills.
