Which branch of engineering has a better scope among CSE and ECE?

It depends upon ones interest and the extent to which one has the patience to acquire knowledge. If you are interested in coding and prefer to take a job just after completing B.Tech CSE would be the best as one is more prone to high salaries. One can also consider IT for the same issues but CSE is more favoured over IT as CSE is a bit older branch than IT and emphasizes more on programming.If one is really interested in learning electronics and can go for higher studies atleast upto M.S. then there is no branch which can compete ECE in any of its traits. Package and Working Environment is far better of ECE worldwide except in INDIA. And the biggest problem of ECE is that students dont get high packages just by doing B.Tech. So if one decides to study ECE one must get through GRE and do M.S.

Both are good, but CSE is having more opportunities and a good scope for placements. If you're quick learner, then you can easily get a high package job. In the last choice is yours.

Well, there can be many aspects to be considered while choosing a branch (stream) for B.Tech. You have to choose the stream as per your interest.No branch is less or more important, each of them has its own importance, it solely depends on you, in which stream you want to make your career. Both have good scope now but comparatively CSE has more scope than ECE and also they have good opportunities to work at higher positions.

Interest in Information Technology, the stream offers a lot of job opportunities for the graduates. * IT Service provider based companies concerned in hardware/software development, application and its testing employ IT professionals. Some of the top companies employ IT Engineers such as Unisys, Qualc And ECE has companies like intel.

Ru sir, don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sail through vast sea go with Marine engineering. If you have not decided what you want to do after B.Tech, sit for one or two days and decided what you want to do. If still confused, select any of the engineering mentioned in point # 1, 2 and 3 (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics). Best of luck.

According to current scenario, CS has better scope, but in the next 5 years, this situation will change inversely and then only there will demand of EC students.
