    Hello,
These days, emphasis is on CSE, Civil and Mech, but it also depends upon your choice. If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then of course CSE is for you but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the field then Civil and Mech. Are very good options. The best branch (as per now):
Computer Engineering (best to have a job, 100% secure that you will have a job).
Civil Engineering (Urban Development): A great degree if you will have a good interest, and will score perform well, it will be an awesome job career.
Automobile Engineering: A good choice too great exposure, BMW, Audi and Porsche. The main person to give these brands a great looking car is the automobile engineer.
Actually, all B.Tech courses are good, if you have that passion, and interest, you will be successful. But in the coming few years (2-4), these fields will give you a better outcome.

The scope and opportunities for different engineering varies based on multiple parameters such as economic growth in a sector, shortage of skilled resources, technology changes, government policies, etc. However, the scope is large in the field of computer science and electronics and communication engineering. Mechanical engineering is a stable branch of engineering without any cyclical changes in job market for last 5 decades.
