Which branch of engineering has a better scope?
I want to pursue engineering after completing 2nd PUC.

These days, emphasis is on CSE, Civil and Mech, but it also depends upon your choice. If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then of course CSE is for you but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the field then Civil and Mech. Are very good options. These days Civil and Mech. Students are also getting good offers. Now the most important thing is the university/ college that you choose for your degree. These days we have many good government as well as private universities like IITs, IITTs, NITs, LPU, SRM, etc. offering admissions in different engineering branches. Engineering has scope in every field today. All the branches of engineering are equally good. What matters is your interests and aptitude for that engineering stream.
ECE: Students can handle various professional assignments as Software Developers, VLSI Designers, Embedded Engineers and RF Engineers in electronics, telecommunication, IT industry in government, semi-government and private sector.
CSE and IT: Students can attain technical positions as Developers, Design Engineers, Solution Integrators, Network Administrators, Database Administrators, Software Testers, Web and Mobility Engineers in a variety of computing domains such as ar...more -
The best branch (as per now):
Computer Engineering (best to have a job, 100% secure that you will have a job).
Civil Engineering (Urban Development): A great degree if you will have a good interest, and will score perform well, it will be an awesome job career.
Automobile Engineering: A good choice too great exposure, BMW, Audi and Porsche. The main person to give these brands a great looking car is the automobile engineer.
Actually, all B.Tech courses are good, if you have that passion, and interest, you will be successful. But in the coming few years (2-4), these fields will give you a better outcome. -
The scope and opportunities for different engineering varies based on multiple parameters such as economic growth in a sector, shortage of skilled resources, technology changes, government policies, etc. However, the scope is large in the field of computer science and electronics and communication engineering. Mechanical engineering is a stable branch of engineering without any cyclical changes in job market for last 5 decades.
