    As I think that if you're stuck at the admissions, whether to choose mechanical engineering or electrical engineering than I'd suggest you to choose that which you think is best for you. Both streams have their importance if we look for mechanical as we all know that Mechanical Engineering is a core and evergreen branch. Almost all core industries and manufacturing units makes use of machines. Thus, for functioning and maintenance of machines, qualified Mechanical Engineers are needed by such Industries!

    Its not about branch, it depends on your interest and skills. If you are in a good and reputed college, then each and every branch have equal amount of scope.
    In case you dont have any interest in any branch or any field, and you have just opted engineering for good money. Then go for Computer Science or Information Technology branch.
    Mechanical-See it will be in demand till the human race survives.Everything in this material world need manufacturing . If you do good it is an Evergreen Branch.
    Electrical engineering - is also good if you have interest in it but if the college you are choosing have ECE and electrical both then you should

    Mechanical has more scope as compared to electrical, a mechanical student can even get into the automobile field.
