In today's world, the real situation is that the civil and mechanical engineering branches are like fluctuating voltages. I being an electrical engineer would suggest you to go for electrical course. The actual truth is that the evergreen course include EC, CS, IS, IT and EE. Every course has the same value in the society. If you do EE i.e. electrical and electronics engineering then you will have two different ways to make your career which is in both software as well as technical field.

Mechanical Engineering is a evergreen branch of engineering. Scope of branch is higher in comparison to electrical engineering. -

I think, all the branches of engineering have a good scope and they all are interesting, it totally depends on you that which branch you like and how you take it. In terms of placements, it is a bit easy to get a placement in IT branches as compared to the core branches. Electrical is quite good and has more options.
