industrial engineering is now in demand u will be happy to know that last year Microsoft recruited highest industrial engineers .

Both degrees are similar with nomenclature difference. There may be differences in one or two electives in both degrees. Which college are you targeting so that detailed analysis & comparison of syllabus and right advice be given.
