Think, don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. Hello, B.Tech in ECE is a good option in today's requirement and there are good placements in industry. But companies only take students who have extra skills along with degree. They don't just take a degree holders. So do extra courses and job will be in your hand. Best of luck.

Dear thilak. EC and Mechanical both are have good option. prefer EC but there are number of options that are available for mechanical too. both you can good government jobs in railways, nuclear etc. prefer EC first and then ME. all the best.

since both branches are good but EC has an upper hand than mechanical in karnataka.
