Which branch of engineering is better among mechanical and EXTC?

I am currently in the first year with EXTC branch but I wish to switch to mechanical but my friends and teachers are saying that EXTC is a better branch. What should I do? I really want to study mechanical but I don't want to be unemployed too.

Hi Sneha, It is very tough to choose between interest and scope. EXTC is having better placements and better scope as compared to mechanical engineering but if you are inclined towards mechanical engineering, go fo it only because if you have interest in something you can achieve great things in tha
