Which branch of engineering is the best?

It depends upon your interest. If you like electronics field then you should pursue B.Tech in electrical and the same goes for other branches. All the branches are good.

All the Engineering fields have lot of scope & equal Job opportunities. If you like software development , coding , testing, hardware processing then you can go for CSE or if you have interest in mechanical then go for mechanical engineering. The main deciding factor should always be your area of interest. I will suggest you to go through the syllabus well in advance and choose as per your area of interest. I think its your engineering college which plays an important role in job placements. If you pursue your engineering from a good college then they have number of companies visiting the college for campus placement ie you have more options compared to lower grade colleges .Try to get in to any of IITs or NITs or good privates ones like BITS Pilani, VIT, UPES Dehradun, UTM Shillong, MNIT etc. So choose wisely, work hard and do your best!
