Which branch of engineering should I opt for in B.Tech?

It all depends on you my friend. What interests you have and which field. On what factors you choose your stream that also matters the most. I would recommend first just decide what type of work you wish to do in your future. On field or office? This might also clear some of your dilemma.

Actually, electrical is a core branch just like mechanical and civil and streams like CSE, IT, ELEX, EXTC fall under electrical branch, so again it is up to you whether to study a core subject and then do specialization or directly choose a specialized stream now and further study in it.
