Which branch of engineering should I opt in my B.Tech to get a job in an IT company?

I want to earn good salary.

    lakshit do go by package in long run everyone will earn equal amount of money. Here what matters is your interest. You give divorce to your wife but not your job. Everybody says CSE is good branch, here I would like to share that IT companies only want B.E graduates it doesn't matter which branch they r from mechanical civil electronics. Any BE graduate with some basic computer courses they will recruit you. this is because in India CSE syllabus doesn't include industrial oriented courses like android phython etc. So you should chose from core engineering branches like Mechanical Electrical Electronics and Civil

    Lakshit, these days emphasis is on CSE, Civil and Mech.but it also depends upon your choice. If you are somebody who wants to sit in an AC office then of course CSE is for you but if you are somebody who doesn't mind working in the field then Civil and Mech.are very good options. These days Civil and Mech.students are also getting good offers.
    Now the most important thing is the university/ college that you choose for your degree. These days we have many good government as well as private universities like IITs, IITTs, NITs, LPU, SRM, etc offering admissions in different engineering branches.
