Which branch of engineering should I pursue in order to become an entrepreneur?

B.Tech is a technical professional degree not a business degree. All branches will give you technical knowledge that you can use for starting your business.
These days many good universities are also offering integrated B.Tech-MBA degrees, thus preparing you for an entrepreneurial future.

In my opinion, CSE should be the best option as it covers various IT fields it will give a wonderful image of the numerous possibilities in IT fields. Now you have a lot of business ideas, by studying CSE your views get a wider angle or you will get some additional ideas. Remember that IT fields are inevitable for any entrepreneurship. Some of the additional pieces of advice that I want to give
1) Think about all the problems you may face, and then start. If you had started then don't give up until the success came across.

Streams in demand are mechanical engineering, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, computer science and engineering, instrumentation and so on. Mechanical engineering is an evergreen branch. Opportunities for information technology stream are found to be affected by recession the world over, but lets be optimistic. Considering the trends is industrial growth the world over, electronics and computer science streams seem to have good prospects. The scope again depends on the qualities of the person who is entitled to compete in the job market.
