Hello sudarshan, it depends as to which specialisation you will opt and yes currently I am pursuing MBA (HRM) from Patna University. And the first thought that comes into mind when you hear that a person is a HR manager is that - the person must be responsible for appoinments, promotions, transfers, etc. But the most important work of a HR manager is to provide data. So whichever organization one joins, the manager must be able to facilitate departments or functions by providing them data which will help the management to take correct decisions. For example, if a person is to be promoted, the manager must be able to provide full data about the person to the higher authority. So, the more informed- the more correct decision. So I'd sggest you to clear your basics and have a good concept in any specialisation that you opt and you won't have to worry much about placements. You will be able to get a good job. Just try to be sincere in your work. All the best.
