Which career option has more job opportunities among M.Tech mechanical and MBA?

M.Tech in mechanical. it's very gd. and competition low.with huge scope. where everyone do MBA,and huge competition.

Hi Balaji Your query is regarding employment opportunities. I think you need a comparison on MBA vs M Tech. I can not say that M Tech is more better than MBA in job market.Both courses have its own advantages. My friend Nikhilesh said the right thing that if you are looking for teaching and research , M Tech may be better. The reason is explained by AICTE officials. AICTE Found an important thing that the quality of Engineering education has decreased in India. The main reason for this is record increase in the number of self financing engineering colleges. Even many institutions are admitting HSc -just passed candidates to BE / B Tech programs under management quota. Yet half of the seats are vacant. Another reason is lack of qualified teachers. In these colleges, classes are handled by even B Tech failed caniddates. Another is BE / B Tech graduate are taking classes for ME / M Tech courses. After finding these, AICTE restricted granting new engineering colleges without considering background of promotors, infrastructure facilities and qualified teaching faculties. M Tech is mandatory now for the post of Lecturers. So there is a huge oepning in engineering education. Engineering colleges are providing handome package for M Tech graduates. AICTE scale is applicable for Masters degree holders. But if you are working as Mechanical Engineer, MBA is essential for getting promotion as Production Manager, Project Manager for new establishments etc. MBA focused on scientif management of various resources such as Human Resources, Materials, Production etc. Engineering and Management education are different. So if you are looking for Management positions , MBA is better choice. Managers are the key people in all firm. They are the decision makers with ultimate authority. Suppose even after M Tech, you may work under a MBA Manager. So in corporate firms / companies, MBA is most wanted qulaification than M Tech. Another point is, there is no age restrictions for doing Masters degress in India, which is applicable for both M Tech and MBA. Like MBA, M Tech can also taken at any time. Even Part Time M Tech is offered by many colleges, deemed and private universities in India. I think , information shared are useful. An Educational expert can not judge that one course is better than another. We can only explore the demand and opportunities. Please take a right decision .All the Best

Hi Balaji, Opportunities are more after M.Tech and that is because you can try your hand in the education field as well and also in the Research & Development as well as in the industries (corporate sector). After MBA you can begin mostly with the corporate sector. Besides, M.Tech makes you technically more perfect. You can do MBA at any time of life, even during your job.
