    Higher study options in Microbiology after B.Sc
    Generally, a person will need a doctoral degree to take up the profession of a microbiologist. One can take up microbiology or any other allied fields during their graduation. The career possibilities for aspirants will increase with a PG degree. Otherwise there is a possibility of the choices to get limited. One can choose to become a teacher or a research scientist after they finish their Post-graduation.
    It takes one 4 years to get a Graduate degree and 2 years to get the PG degree. The doctoral program has a time period of 3 4 years.

    Hello,
    There are so many options available. You can go for further studies:
    M.Sc Microbiology is best, or you can go for
    M.Sc in Food Technology,
    M.Sc in genetics
    M.Sc in environmental Science
    M.Sc in Bioinformatics
    If you want to join Hospital and LAB, then you can do Diploma in Medical Lab Technician (Recommended for quick job).
    After this, you can own your own lab, you will get LAB license.

    Hi Anjali, You can work as Microbiologist in Pharmaceutical companies like Parenteral Drugs India Limited, Cipla, etc. If you are interested in banking sector jobs, you can apply for the position of Probationary Officer or Management Trainee in Banks.
