Which college are best for mechanical engineering, and which examination are needed ?

Different people will have different opinion for that. Many would say IIT, NIT, Bits or may be some other 'branded' college. I have not been to any of these colleges, so I can't tell about the facilities they give. As far as my college is concerned, several facilities are available, be it old school
