The CMAT dates are not announced officially yet. However, the dates of the examination are expected to be announced in the month of November, 2025. The dates are announced on the official website of NTA every year. Moreover, the exam is likely to be held in the third week of January 2026 in two shifts—morning and evening. The CMAT 2026 registration window will open most likely in December 2025.

CMAT is one of the accepting exams for admission to PGDM. In 2024, the overall CMAT cutoff was 85. This was same in 2023 as well. However, it is not compulsory to have a CMAT score for admission. Aspirants with a valid score in CAT, MAT, ATMA, etc. can also get admission in the PGDM programme.

CMAT cutoffs for MMS programme in the best Maharashtra colleges are extremely tough. JBIMS Mumbai usually requires close to a 99.99% percentile, probably around 340 in 400. SIMSREE and K J Somaiya will require percentiles's in the 99.9% percentile range as well. For Welingkar Institute and PUMBA Pune, typically 99.9% range. These cutoffs are for general category and may actually not vary much year on year. Reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC will have cutoffs that are lower typical percentile of admission around 80 to 95 percentile. Admission for MMS will be purely on the basis of merit and available seats through the CAP counselling
