VIT, Vellore is also a top engineering institute but compared to BITS, it's second. BITS is well established, reputed institute one of top engineering institutes of India placed equal to some IITs and NITs. In terms of placements, infrastructure and other activities BITS is better. BITS is a better option according to the experience I had in this campus. It is a completely different life in this campus and helps you to build your overall personality with the career as well. Placement scenario as well is too good for the students studying here. So if you have a chance, go for BITS.
