IP University is an old and reputed university. It was once best of all the private universities in north India. Chandigarh University has wreaked havoc and now it is standing in top position.

Academics is more or less same at both places. Campus life is better in IP University. Chandigarh University has better infrastructure. IP University is an old an reputed University. Placements are more or less same. Therefore, I would say, go for IP.
