Both are in same league and based in Tamilnadu south India
Other than This VIT, SRM is the top rated private universities. Ranking wise PSGIT is above SASTRA University, If You are considering all parameters then PGS is ahead of SASTRA. -

Both PSG and Sastra are good institutions for engineering studies. In terms of rankings, PSG is at 29th while Sastra is at 33rd in NIRF 2018. In terms of reputation, PSG is more reputed than sastra as it is one of the oldest institutions in India. The placements at PSG and Sastra will be nearly the same. Considering the above facts, I would prefer PSG to Sastra University.
