In terms of fees, SASTRA Deemed University has higher fees than Chennai Institute of Technology. The total fees at SASTRA are more than 6 lakhs, whereas at CIT they are around 2 lakhs for CSE.
However, placement opportunities at SASTRA have been comparatively better, with students being placed in companies such as PayPal with a salary package of 24 LPA.
CIT also offers placement services for CSE, and its placement rate is around 92 percent. If you go by the NIRF ranking, SASTRA has the upper hand, being ranked 41st, whereas CIT is placed at 175th.
Also, SASTRA has around 300 seats in the CSE branch, whereas CIT has just 180 seats.

It is best to go for SASTRA rather than CIT in all aspects. Placement-wise for CSE branch CIT may be high but SASTRA have also high figures. Honestly for Infrastructure, Faculty, hostel facilities, etc. I would suggest SASTRA over CIT because SASTRA has sufficient to excel in your life with their educational system. If you looking for student life fun other activities involvement, Fests, sports activities, exposure, etc. My preference would be CIT over SASTRA. SASTRA has strict rules boundations and less support for other activities than academics.

Hi Atchaya, If I were to say which one is better, I would say SASTRA! Because there are many reasons for opting that college. Firstly, It's an old university which was established in 1984, whereas CIT in 2010. If we SEE the NIRF ranking of both the colleges SASTRA stands at 41th position, whereas CIT at 175th position. Coming to the Placements, the median salary at SASTRA is 6lpa, but in CIT it was 3.6 LPA and There were lot of facilities available in SASTRA compared to CIT. So finally SASTRA is on top compared to CIT.
