Which is very interesting, so many students opt for it One of the most challenging areas of engineering, Aerospace Engineering deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space and defense systems. Aerospace Engineering involves design and manufacturing of hi-tech systems, hence the engineer requires possessing manual, technical and mechanical ability. This discipline specializes in designing, construction, development, testing and maintenance of commercial and military aircrafts and spacecrafts. Aerospace Engineering is categorized into two branches Aeronautical Engineering and Astronautical Engineering. Chandigarh University is NAAC A+ Accredited by Government of India. Aerospace Engineering Department is one of the best department in all aspects. The labs of Aerospace Engineering Department are based on modern technologies. It include Modern subsonic wind Tunnel, water Chanel for flow visualization. In aircraft Structure lab Department have photo elastic Apparatus for stress concentrate effects in transparent materials. Wagner beam apparatus, Columns struts apparatus, Various types of beams for determination of slopes and deflection, shear centre determination of various sections. The lab are highly equipped with modern technology based equipment this makes Teaching and learning process quite easy. Aerospace Engineering at CU is recently started, it will take another 6 to 7 years to get fully developed. At present they do not have proper infrastructure to support this course. They will have to increase strong faculty pool particularly candidates from IITs. At present if somebody joins CU, it would be a great mistake because at the end of the day if you don't have job in hands then there is no use of a degree.
