Which college is better for B.Tech in Civil Engineering: VIT University or SRM University, Chennai?

Please share the details on the basis of course outline, faculty, placement and college infrastructure.

    I'll break it down for you.
    Placements:
    At SRM, the highest placement record is from Lafarge India and the company provided a remuneration of 11 lakhs to a candidate in the year 2011.
    Most core companies in the field of Civil engineering at SRM pay anything between 3 to 6 lakhs.
    Same average is for VIT also.
    Infrastructure:
    Owing up to civil branch, you get to study in the most recent and developed building in SRM.
    For VIT, you have no such developments for the civil majority.
    Fees:
    While the overall annual sum you need to pay is somewhat higher than what you pay at VIT. But, it totally depends on you as to how you score in your SRMJEE,

    B.Tech in Civil Engineering: VIT University is better because the courses offered in SCALE cater to the needs of Construction, Geo-technical, Energy, Environmental, Water Resources, Transportation and Chemical Engineering.     For civil engineering, VIT is good in terms of placement, but if you want to choose SRM it is also having a good academic exposure and nice teaching environment.
