Which college is better for B.Tech in CSE: IIT Madras or IIT, Kanpur (IITK)?

Please share the details on the basis of course outline, faculty, placement and college infrastructure.

    100% Placements for CSE students and 20% of them already have PPOs. Moreover, average range for CSE goes from 8 to 20 LPA and hence, makes it an attraction for various students. The college offers state of art Faculty plus best Infrastructure to maintain quality education. With IIT madras, the internships provided here are very minimal for this specialisation specifically and The Placements for CSE is great but overall facilities and faculty structure is mediocre, not all students get exact CSE opportunities and hence, does not have edge over IIT Kanpur

    In terms of placements, IIT-Kanpur is the best since inception, it has offered near 100% Placements for CSE students and 20% of them already have PPOs.
    Moreover, average range for CSE goes from 8 to 20 LPA and hence, makes it an attraction for various students.

    First of all, whichever degree you pursue, in whichever IIT is going to ensure you that you are in the best hands possible in India. Now to answer your question:
    1.First of all, you should give preference to your hometown location and how far your college is to your hometown as there is only a 5-10% difference between every IIT.
    2.As per IIT ranking of 2017, IIT Madras happens to be in the lead, while IIT Kanpur happens to lack behind securing a rank of 6th on the same list.

    First of all, a Bachelors education in any stream in any of these IITs carry a golden bullet point in the resume. If you have to choose between IIT-Madras and IIT-Kanpur, the most obvious choice among the two is - IIT-Kanpur CSE.
