Which college is better for B.Tech in CSE: NIT Trichy or NIT, Warangal?

NIT, Trichy has been ranked one among the NITs for a while now whereas NIT, Warangal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11 while NIT, Warangal stands at 34. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. However the big difference is in the placements. In 2016 NIT, Warangal saw a placement of 99.01% for the CSE department while NIT Trichy had 100% placement for 2017. The numbers speak for themselves, the industry as such sees NIT Trichy's students as more employable than that of NIT Warangal's. Some people may disagree. Apart from academics NIT Trichy focusses on all round development of its students through various extra-curricular activities. There are clubs like Delta and Spyder where students can learn and do projects on app dev, web dev etc. I would definitely suggest to join NIT Trichy over NIT Warangal.

Hello, Both NIT's are best for CSE. But, if you are comparing with the placements, then NIT-Warangal in better than Trichy. All the best.

Both NITs are among the top 3 NITs of India. But, NIT-Trichy has upper hand upon NIT-Warangal, as the rankings placement statistics of NIT-Trichy is better than Warangal. So, I will suggest you to go for NIT-Trichy.

If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. The faculty in both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors. Coming to the placements. NIT-Trichy had 100% placement for the year 2017. According to me, the industry as such sees NIT-Trichy's students as more employable. NIT-Trichy focuses on all round development of its students through various extracurricular activities. There are clubs like Delta and Spyder where students can learn and do projects on app dev, web dev, etc., and get a hands-on experience. I would definitely suggest joining NIT-Trichy.

Both the NITs stand among the top at the academic prospective as well as in the overall era of study culture. For B.Tech CSE the most preferred is definitely NIT, Trichy due to its more inclined and subject oriented teaching scenario which make more skilled and oriented software engineers. Though NIT, Warangal too is recognized as a prestigious institute and has a very good placement ratio in CSE stream. It is too difficult to find difference between to institutions of same level. But all my knowledge and facts are the result of direct conversation with my friends and seniors studying there. The placements at NIT Trichy are around 14 to 15 LPA and at NIT, Warangal it is 12 lakhs per annum since the last few placement sessions. The highest package from NIT Trichy is 80 lakhs till date and from NIT, Warangal is 52 lakhs per annum till date. Though if you are getting any one of these too, don’t be hesitated because your placement is dependent on you. Just if you are not getting the most preferred, follow above facts and make a wise decision.

In 2015, the percentage of students placed was 95 percent. For the CSE department, it was 95 percent in 2016 and 90 percent in 2017. The average salary for CSE engineering lies around Rs 12 lakhs (approx.). Moreover, some students also opt for roles in IT/CS, Consulting, Financial marketing, management as such. In these sectors, we have some really big names like Amazon, Google, Facebook in tech and Credit Suisse, EY, PWC, Morgan Stanley, Delloite in Finance/management role. The dedicated training and placement cell of NIT, Trichy is highly known for its rankings given below:Highest package was 88 LPA by Google. Average salary is similar, but infrastructure and faculty is world class like Harvard and Stanford's. Hence, NIT Trichy is the better option.
