Which college is better for B.Tech in CSE: NIT Trichy or NITK, Surathkal?

Please share the details on the basis of course outline, faculty, placement and college infrastructure.

    Both the NITs are among the top 3 NITs of India. But, NIT-Trichy has an upper hand on NIT-Surathkal as the ranking and placement statistics of NIT-Trichy is better than Surathkal. So, I would suggest you go for NIT-Trichy. All the best.

    Hi,
    NIT, Trichy has been ranked number one among the NITs for a while now, whereas, NIT -Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar.
    The faculty in both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors. Coming to the placements. In 2017 NIT, Surathkal saw a placement of 100% for the CSE department while NIT-Trichy also had 100% placement for 2017. According to me, the i

    Actually, both are very good institutions. Both institutions offers good packages and placements. But NIT-Trichy is better as core companies visit the campus with high packages.

    In 2015, the percentage of students placed was 95 percent. For the CSE department, it was 95 percent in 2016 and 90 percent in 2017. The average salary for CSE engineering lies around Rs 12 lakhs (approx.). Moreover, some students also opt for roles in IT/CS, Consulting, Financial marketing, management as such. In these sectors, we have some really big names like Amazon, Google, Facebook in tech and Credit Suisse, EY, PWC, Morgan Stanley, Delloite in Finance/management role.
